BackerKit Coming

Hello lovely Wizards!

As you know, we wanted to send out the Backerkit surveys for Power Plants by this week. We are stuck on a few things that need ironing out, before we do. I have submitted for final review already, but I'm just waiting on some final feedback from the admin team at BackerKit. 

I'm sending this update to you because I don't want you to think that you didn't get your survey and that something is wrong. Once we get the okay (it might be today or at the beginning of next week), we'll send out a "smoke test" to make sure that our survey does what we want it to do. That would mean that about 5% of you will get your surveys first. If all goes well within the first few hours, we'll send the rest of the surveys out right away.

Information and BackerKit

Hello Wizards,

Well, we rested and took some time to recoup. But the work of a publisher is never done. So here we are, with some information about the coming weeks. This will not be a full update. Just a partial one letting you know where we go from here.

The Winner and a Correction

BackerKit

I'm working diligently so that all of the right things end up in all of the right places, asking the right questions, and adding on as much as I can to your BackerKit surveys. We need to request approval from BackerKit before we send them out. This will happen this weekend and should be complete by early next week Please be on the lookout for your survey by the middle to the end of next week. 

Timelines

If all goes as planned, we'll have Power Plants out to you by the end of November 2022. My guess is that we'll be early, as you will see below. But we put in the buffer time to allow for manufacturing and freight issues.

December - Wrapping up development, BackerKit surveys go out

January/February - Translations take place, BackerKit surveys are locked

March - Sampling

April - Charge credit cards (I am sorry, PayPal is not available for this campaign) for fulfilment and add-ons through BackerKit

April to June - Manufacturing

July/August - Freight to different regions

September - Fulfilment

As I mentioned above, any number of things can happen throughout the manufacturing and freight process. This is our planned timeline, and we'd like to meet it. Any changes to this timeline along the way, and we will make sure that we are upfront and informative about it. Transparency is key for this to work. We will always make sure that you know what we know. We do this because we wouldn't be here without you. We truly believe that you are all a part of this Kickstarter process, and we want you to know how much we value you!

Hey Wizards!!

What more can I say but THANK YOU! With $ 133,808 pledged, 334% funded and 2,307 backers, this campaign has come to a close and Power Plants is going to become a reality. This was a very wild ride, and you all rose to the occasion. The amount of support we felt during this campaign surpassed anything would could have ever imagined. This was, without doubt, the most challenging and fun campaign that we have worked on. Every minute of it was exciting. And we have all of you to thank for it. You keep helping us make amazing games. 

Before we get to the final few Stretch Goals that we have unlocked, there are some very special people we need to thank.

From the bottom of my heart, you are my true partner. I have loved every moment we have worked together. Your energy and creativity is what has driven this campaign. Thank you for all that you put into our games. I feel so lucky that I get to work with you.

Thank you for your dedication to this campaign - and all of our campaigns for that matter. There is so much that you do that no one really gets to see. Well, they see it, but they don't see you doing it. Thank you for tirelessly posting, sharing, and connecting with so many important people that have helped us get this campaign to the heights it has risen to.

What can I say to the designer of Power Plants (as well as the last game we had on Kickstarter from our sibling company: Fall of the Mountain King)? It was definitely the year of Adam. It has been such a pleasure to work with you this past year. While I popped in and out of your meetings with the rest of the team, I have enjoyed watching you grow as a designer. Your ideas and dedication to our projects have really helped make both games AMAZING! I will miss the year of Adam. But I guess it's time to share you with other publishers. 

Apolline Etienne

You knocked it out of the park this time! I know I say that to you every time, but I mean it. You took Josh's art direction to an entirely new level. Thank you for the time you spend on our projects, especially this one. You've known all along just how much I love your illustrations for Power Plants. But I don't think you understand what a pleasure it has been for me to open up your emails. We talked about a mysterious glow in the comments of the campaign (those backers involved know who they are). Every time I opened an email from you, that's how I felt! My emails were glowing. Can't wait to work with you on another project!

David, Noah, Marcus, and Ori (Mesa Game Labs)

You four really went well beyond with this video. While we've seen what you could do previously, this video was stellar. Thank you so much for taking Josh's art direction so well and putting into images what he had imagined. You are incredibly talented! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to making the Power Plants video so stunning!

Gabriel and Connor (Trayforge)

We're excited to be working with you this time around. You took Josh's vision and landed it exactly where we wanted it to be. Your contribution to this campaign helped us to get to where we are today. So, thank you so much for your hard work and support!

Crow's Nest Event

The campaign is now over. Which means we are no longer taking votes. We will tally up the votes in the coming days. One thing is for certain: Clay and Dusk have given Blaze a run for its money. We'll let you know as soon as we can.

What's Next

While we have no more stretch goals to post about and no more events for you to take part in, your job is not complete. We have a long road ahead of us. A road that is going to be made up of credit cards being charged, BackerKit surveys, waiting, credit cards being charged again, address changes, sample viewings, more address changes, and more waiting. Eventually we will get your games to you. 

What to Expect Over the Next While

Next week I will be sending a detailed update with timelines. Please pay attention to that update. It will have so much important information in it. Right after the campaign ends, Kickstarter tries to charge cards. If your card has a block on it, please contact your bank/credit card company to let them know that Kids Table Board Gaming via Kickstarter is going to be charging your card. Kickstarter usually tries to charge cards for two weeks before they give up. All is not lost if you can't get it together over the next two weeks. We will send you a BackerKit survey where you can pick it up. Please note that if you have an encrypted apple email address, you will NOT receive any Kickstarter message or the BackerKit survey. We have encountered this issue with a couple of our other games. It will benefit you to use an alternate email address for this purpose.

Hello Wizards,

What a night we had. Not to mention this morning breezing by three Stretch Goals. There are about 200 of you who have joined in on this amazing campaign since our update last night. My goodness we are flying! Thank you so much for being here with us. We are honoured that you have chosen Power Plants! I can honestly say I have never had so much fun on a campaign before. And that is saying a lot coming off of the Creature Comforts campaign. And to those of you who have take the time to comment, to vote, to tally, to uplift, to spread the love, to just say "hi", we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for being here and thank you for being so kind to one another. More of this in the world please!! Now, on to our amazing Stretch Goals!!

Final Hours and More Content Added

Hello Wizards!

What a whirlwind it has been over the last 24 hours. Once that 48 hour reminder goes out, it's just ding, ding, ding all over the place. For those of you who knew we were going to make that $99k stretch goal, you know us well! We had no doubt that it was going to happen. Before we get too deep into this update, let me send out a big warm welcome to all of our new backers (since the last update yesterday). And those of you who have kept this campaign going ... your excitement is palpable. I feel it jumping out at me through my screen. Thank you SO very much for your enthusiasm. That is what has driven this amazing campaign!

What We've Unlocked

WE DID IT! WE DID IT! Thank you for believe that we could. We always knew we would! We are still counting votes... there were SO MANY and we have also been running around like crazy getting other stretch goals ready for you! Three front-runners have begun to emerge, we will let you know soon! 

More Alternate Plants means more variability. I'm so very happy to announce that we have an Alternate Plant for each Plant type!!

I am sure you know how awesome it is going to be to play with this micro-expansion. And it will look beautiful too! Sprite Ponds for your starting set-up!!
